"Jesus is Greater"
People both inside and outside of the church often have a view of Jesus that is too small. Some of those outside the church reduce Jesus to a zealot or a moral teacher, while some Christians view him only as a necessary sacrifice or a helpful example. In order to truly worship Jesus as Lord, we need to see him in his proper place as the Son of God.
The author of Hebrews delivers an extended sermon on the primacy of Jesus, showing how Jesus is greater than everything else and thus worthy of worship.
Good News Christian Reformed Church has been part of the east end of London, Ontario since 1989. Through God's gracious help and guidance, we hope to share the good news of God’s amazing love for everyone. We think GNC will be a place where you can connect with others who are also learning to grow in their faith.
Our Sunday morning worship service at 10:30 a.m. is central to the life of Good News Church. During worship we focus on bringing praise to God, and on listening to His Word (Scripture). Worship services are a blend of contemporary and traditional styles. Every Sunday we sing God’s praises and we hear His Word explained. We bring our thanks and our petitions to Him in prayer. These weekly gatherings equip us for another week of service to God.
"So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit."
Good News Church is part of a larger denomination called the Christian Reformed Church in North America. The CRCNA website states: “We call ourselves Christian because we are followers of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus was the Son of God and that he is the center of human history. We’re called Reformed because we grow on a branch of the church tree that emerged from the Protestant Reformation in sixteenth-century Europe. We’re a Church because we believe God has called us together to be a people who belong to him and live for him.” (www.crcna.org)
"but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love."
We serve a good and perfect God.
