WHAT'S GOING ON AT GOOD NEWS:

In-person worship is BACK as of September 5, 2021. You are invited to worship with us Sunday mornings, 10 a.m.!

***PARKING LOT UNDER CONSTRUCTION***

As of October 12, 2021, construction has begun on the parking lot for those accessing Good News Church, the Community Counselling Centre of London, and Renew Community Store. Renew Community Store is closed during construction.

**Friday, Oct 15 UPDATE: The parking lot has been prepped for paving, and the new sidewalk is in. Due to rain on Friday, it has not yet been paved. Paving will happen next week.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUNDAY MORNING:

When driving into the parking lot for worship this Sunday, do NOT use the main entrance as there is a drop there. Please use the Bobcat entrance to access our parking lot. You may park on the gravel, but do NOT park in the coned off area. You may also park by Bobcat.

Also, make sure to take extra care walking between the parking lot and the sidewalk, as it is uneven.

WORSHIP AT GOOD NEWS

October's series is on Identity and Mission. Pastor Lynette will be preaching from the book of Jonah:

Our current series is about identity and mission. We’ll focus on the book of Jonah and on the story of the woman at the well in John 4:25-42. Jonah’s an interesting book because it seems like more of an example of how not to live your life with integrity. However, as we dive into Jonah, we might see how the text actually tells us about who God is more than who God’s prophet (Jonah) is.

It will also be an invitation to examine our own lives and the life of our church. Who are we? Who are we called to be? What is our mission? What mission are we called to? Are we already living (or are we willing to live) into the identity and mission that God calls us to, individually and communally? Let’s be curious together about where God’s Spirit is at work in and around us, and when/how/where we will join in that work.

We are

A Worshipping Community

Good News Christian Reformed Church has been part of the east end of London, Ontario since 1989. Through God's gracious help and guidance, we hope to share the good news of God’s amazing love for everyone. We think GNC will be a place where you can connect with others who are also learning to grow in their faith.

Our Sunday morning worship service at 10:00 a.m. is central to the life of Good News Church. So, whether it is your first time coming to church or you've just moved into the neighbourhood, we invite you to join us.

You can come dressed to be comfortable. Our congregants come in anything from jeans to a shirt and tie. Our church building is fully wheelchair accessible and there is plenty of parking in the parking lot.

Our greeters and screeners are eager to meet you and help you find your way into the worship service. We ask that you wear a mask while inside the building, and that you respect physical distancing at all times. The sanctuary where we worship has seating spread out so that you may sit with your household in appropriate physically distant groups.

We have a nursery for children from birth to five years old, and activity binders for older kids to use during the service.

Please note that our guidelines with regards to the nursery will be posted on the door and there will be a sign-in sheet, and a temperature check completed on children.  Volunteers will be required to wear masks at all times and will have reviewed Covid Protocols.

And you're welcome to stay and let us get to know you after the service. Right now, we ask that you make your way outside to meet with others. We will not be serving coffee at this time.

Worship at Good News Church

"So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit."

Ephesians 2:19-22

We Believe

Good News Church is part of a larger denomination called the Christian Reformed Church in North America. The CRCNA website states: “We call ourselves Christian because we are followers of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus was the Son of God and that he is the center of human history. We’re called Reformed because we grow on a branch of the church tree that emerged from the Protestant Reformation in sixteenth-century Europe. We’re a Church because we believe God has called us together to be a people who belong to him and live for him.” (www.crcna.org)

What we believe

"...but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love."

Ephesians 4:15-16

We serve
